Isla Fisher, born on February 3, 1976 in Muscat, Oman is an Australian actress, author and comedian known for her comedic talent and versatile performances. Raised in Perth, Australia Fisher began her acting career at a young age appearing in Australian television commercials and soap operas before making her breakthrough in Hollywood.

Fisher gained widespread recognition for her role as Shannon Reed on the Australian soap opera “Home and Away” (1994-1997). Her portrayal of the ditzy but lovable character endeared her to audiences and set the stage for her transition to film.

In 2002 Fisher made her Hollywood debut in the comedy film “Scooby-Doo” where she portrayed Mary Jane the love interest of Shaggy. Her performance showcased her comedic timing and charm leading to further comedic roles in films such as “Wedding Crashers” (2005) where she played the scene-stealing character Gloria Cleary opposite Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson.
